Organization

1. Virtual journey: The virtual Journey is comprised of seven tours/sessions of about an hour each in duration to be carried out in the classroom/auditorium on seven different days. Students are connected live to Italy via ZOOM. Travel dates and times can be reserved through our booking system.
2. Duration of each session: The connection is set at about 40/60 minutes, to be confirmed according to schedules and school needs.

What an amazing opportunity! As teachers we strive to provide as authentic learning experiences as possible. The live tours are the next best thing to being in Italy. The enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guides brought the tours to “life”. We learned so many interesting facts about the sites and the surroundings; saw first hand tourists and spaces of the city and people going about their day, even a bride and groom at a site. There is truly much learning to extract from these live tours. Infinite thanks to Federica and the Superciao team. Bravissimi! Complimenti!

This has been a fantastic, authentic, and informative experience for my students. They were highly engaged during all the visits. The itinerary is great, our meets were weekly, this allowed to stretch the lesson beyond the day of the tour, to explore vocabulary and grammar in the context of the culture of each city we visited.

I enjoyed all the tours that were shown to us! The guides were very good at explaining the details and history of the places we saw in Italy. It felt like we were actually there. Each tour made me want to visit Italy more and more. Everyone in our Italian class had such a fun experience. It was so interesting, I got to learn things I never knew before. I will cherish the memories. Thank you for all the effort!

I think this website is an amazing educational source. It provides many resources for students and teachers. The tours were also very educational and resourceful. I have never been to Italy, but these tours have inspired me to go there someday. I feel like this helped with the Italian language as well, as some names were in Italian and we got to know why certain things were called a certain way. Not only that, but this was very insightful on the Italian culture and how to travel like a local. I would use this program again and recommend it to everyone as it is a one of a kind experience.

I loved the trip. It was much better to see it with a tour guide than any pictures or videos on google could show you. The people we were on zoom with were very friendly and made the experience amazing!
