Malaga
Málaga is a vibrant coastal city on Spain’s Costa del Sol that perfectly combines history, culture, and Mediterranean charm. Known as the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, it offers a unique opportunity to explore both artistic heritage and centuries of history. At the heart of the city stands the Alcazaba, a Moorish fortress-palace dating back to the 11th century, one of the best-preserved in Spain, with stunning views over the city and harbor. Just below it lies the Roman Theatre, a reminder of Málaga’s ancient past, while nearby the Cathedral, often called La Manquita (“the one-armed lady”) for its unfinished second tower, dominates the skyline with its Renaissance and Baroque features.
The modern side of Málaga is equally engaging: lively boulevards, bustling markets, and the renovated Port area (Muelle Uno), filled with shops, restaurants, and open-air art. The city also offers beautiful beaches and a welcoming Andalusian atmosphere. For groups, Málaga is an ideal first stop in Andalusia, offering a mix of education, culture, and leisure in a safe and inspiring environment.
