Meeting point at the airport with our tour leader: 1.00 pm/3.30 pm (Preferred,but flexible, time – to be confirmed). Once the group has come together at the airport after arrival, transfer to L’AQUILA by private coach bus and hotel check-in.

DAY 3 - October, 31st (B, D)
MORNING
Half-day excursion with brief stops along the way at the Palazzo dell’Emiciclo, the seat of the Regional Council of Abruzzo, the Parco del Sole, a project for the recovery of the territory after the earthquake, and the Basilica of Santa Maria di Collemaggio.
The tour continues towards the Cascata Grotte carsiche di Stiffe, a natural spectacle of rare beauty facing the Gran Sasso. Santo Stefano di Sessanio, a splendid mountain village, an architectural jewel that has experienced depopulation and rebirth. Here, you can enjoy lunch at the Locanda Sotto gli Archi, where you can savor traditional recipes and shop in local artisan workshops. Return to L’Aquila.AFTERNOON

Bominaco – Monastic Complex and Castle.
Navelli – Visit to a saffron production farm, one of the most famous.
Cooperative Altopiano di Navelli with a visit to the small MUSEUM: “SALA DEI RICORDI” on Via Roma.
Alternatively: “L’Oro di Navelli” or “Antica Taverna di Navelli.” Saffron is a spice obtained from the stigmas of the Crocus sativus flower.
Ofena – Visit to a winery with a wine tasting.
Wineries to consider: Vitivinicola Gentile, Cataldi Madonna, Pietrantonj. Return in the afternoon for free time in the city.EVENING

Full day trip to Roma. Religious Itinerary to the Holy Door of the Jubilee. Free time for light lunch. Historical and artistic itinerary among the vestiges of Roman culture, discovering architecture, painting, sculpture which left an unforgettable trail all over the world: Foro Romano, Colonna Traiana, Arco di Tito and the Colosseo, symbol of the city.

Transfer to CAMPOBASSO with several stops along the way.
Castel di Sangro, famous not only for its winter tourism but also for the presence of the Ristorante Reale, named one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Isernia, NATIONAL PALEOLITHIC MUSEUM – Founded in 1999.
Interview with the museum director about the valorization and coordination of research in the region.
Castelpetroso, a famous location beloved by Molise residents for its Sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna Addolorata. Its construction began in 1890 and was completed around 1950, with consecration taking place in 1975.EVENING

MORNING
Walking city tour with English local guide in Campobasso and visit the MYSTERIES MUSEUM, which is where the procession begins.
The first Misteri structures were created in 1748 by Paolo Saverio Di Zinno, a renowned artist from Campobasso. Santa Maria del Monte Church – Castello Monforte – Church of San Giorgio and Leonardo –Church of San Bartolomeo – Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.
If anyone wishes, they can also independently visit the Palazzo Pistilli Museum – A museum created from the donation of two private collections, featuring many paintings from the 17th to 19th centuries, particularly by Neapolitan artists.AFTERNOON

Transfer to VASTO with various stops along the way:
The first stop is in Civitacampomarano, a nearly depopulated village with only 350 inhabitants. It is known for its Agionino Castle. The tour continues with a stop in Larino, rich in history and historical evidence. There will be an extended stop in Termoli with a guided walk by the Tour Leader in the historic center. Here, you can see the Swabian Castle, the Trabucco (traditional fishing machine), colorful houses, and the beaches.EVENING

A city walk with the Tour Leader to discover the most important monuments and natural surroundings, Vasto being a renowned seaside paradise.

MORNING
During the transfer to PESCARA, you can admire the Trabucchi, traditional fishing structures considered “monuments” to be preserved. Stop in Chieti to visit the NATIONAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF ABRUZZO in Villa Frigerj, which houses the famous Warrior of Capestrano.

MORNING/AFTERNOON
Walking city tour with English local guide and if anyone wishes, they can also independently visit the museum birthplace of Gabriele D’Annunzio, the birthplace museum of Gabriele D’Annunzio, an Italian poet from the 20th century who lived in this city.
The museum is located at Corso Manthoné 116 and was declared a national monument in 1927. Since December 2014, it has been managed by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage through the Polo Museale dell’Abruzzo, which became the Regional Directorate of Museums in December 2019.EVENING

A. TRANSPORTATION: LAND ONLY PACKAGE – Private bus
- Private and exclusive bus available for the group throughout the entire Tour.
- Superciao Tour provides a meeting point at the airport where the tour leader welcomes participants and gathers them within a scheduled time window. This time window is preferred but can be adjusted if the majority of arrival times differ. Group transfer to the first hotel by private coach bus. Participants may also choose, for organizational and/or personal reasons, to join the group directly at the first hotel. It is essential to inform us of this choice in advance during the planning phase, specifying the arrival time either at the airport or at the first hotel.
B. FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION: Hotel – Restaurant – Allergy
4-star hotels based on availability and time of year, in double rooms or single rooms with a supplement.
Breakfast and dinner or lunch if necessary for the itinerary (specified by the program) (including water and a glass of wine for adults, excluding other beverages which are the responsibility of the participants) every day, and in addition, these tastings or aperitifs, where indicated by the program:

C. SUPPORT STAFF: Tour Leader (24/7) – English local guide – Baby sitter
- A Tour Leader who accompanies the group 24/7, on various excursions, coordinates them throughout the period, and provides all necessary information and advice: shopping, currency usage, withdrawals, phone usage, public transportation, restaurant choices, and more.
- Regularly accredited specialized guides* for the city tours, where indicated by the program. The use of English or Italian will be at the group’s discretion.

- If you would like a second Tour Leader for the entire trip or for specific days, you must make an explicit request through your group coordinator. The price will be determined accordingly.
- Families traveling with children and who wish to have a babysitter for a few hours on certain days must request this service in advance, with pricing to be determined.
- Anyone needing a wheelchair must notify us in advance so that arrangements can be made.

TOUR PROGRAM
The Programs on the website are sample descriptions only.
Superciao Tour will insert the final Program and details in your website area, 30 days prior to departure and will inform the Group Leader and all the participants of all the Tour details: the DAY BY DAY. The Day by Day will provide all information pertinent to your trip.
TRAVEL GUIDELINES
- When an optional choice between two destinations is planned, and the bus is used for the transfer, the destination is decided based on the majority of preferences. The option to stay at the location remains freely available.
- If not everyone wishes to participate in one or more excursions, they must indicate this during registration.
- During the trip, each day the Tour Leader will provide the schedule for various activities, and these times must be followed to ensure smooth coordination and success of the planned events. Should anyone decide not to participate in an activity, they must inform the Tour Leader to avoid unnecessary delays for the group.
- Anyone needing a wheelchair must notify us in advance so that arrangements can be made.
PLEASE NOTE! The schedule for the day may vary depending on weather conditions, traffic, and other logistical needs.
PROGRAM CHANGES
SCT reserves the right to make any necessary changes pertaining to activities closures, or for reasons that jeopardize the safety of participants. SCT may cancel a Tour due to insufficient participants.
LAND ONLY
Participants may choose to purchase only the land portion of the trip. Participants must then make their own round trip travel arrangements and join the group at the first hotel accommodation. When a participant is not with the main group, SCT is not responsible for the participant in any way. Domestic or international flights or transfers of any kind outside SCT are responsibility of client: Tour participants who choose land only must arrange transportation from airport to the first hotel and vice versa on their own.
SCT will deduct $ 1000.00 from the package price quote.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
The cancellation policies outlined below take into consideration the costs SCT incurs long before groups ever depart.
Notice of cancellation from a tour will only be accepted from the participant, his or her legal guardian or the group leader.
The date of cancellation will be determined by the date on which SCT receives written notice to the following email addresses:

Cancellation refunds can only be made to the person whose name appears on the account; monies cannot be transferred to another account.
The refunds will be made within 50 days from the request.

89 to 66 days prior to departure: Full refund minus a $450 cancellation fee*.
65 to 30 days prior to departure: Refund 50% of the Program Fee*.
29 days or less prior to departure: No refund will be issued. - CANCELLATION WITH REPLACEMENT**
90 days or more prior to departure- Full refund less the non-refundable $250 cancellation fee*.
89 – 66 days prior to departure – Full refund less a $ 350 substitution fee*.
65 days or less prior to departure- Replacement can no longer be accepted.
* Non-refundable fees are also deducted from refunds.
** When a participant cancels the reservation but finds a person to replace him or her for the same Program.
PASSPORTS, VISAS & TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
A valid US passport is required for travel for US citizens. If you do not have a valid passport please contact your closest passport office. Passports must be valid at least 6 months after the return date. US citizens do not need to obtain visas for Italy. When and if visa is required it is passenger’s responsibility to obtain one. Cancellations due to lack of appropriate travel documents will incur usual penalties.
PASSPORT NAME
Participant’s name must be registered EXACTLY AS IT APPEARS ON ONE’S PASSPORT!
Upon receipt of the airline ticket, the passenger is responsible to check the itinerary, spelling of his/her name, dates, times to insure its validity. If the airline allows, it will charge a $ 250 change fee each time the ticket is altered. Once a ticket is issued, it belongs to person in whose name it was issued.
The participant will be responsible for any fees applied by the airline if exact information has not been provided. Should the ticket have any errors, it is the passenger’s responsibility to contact Superciao Tour srl immediately.
SPECIAL TRAVEL CONDITIONS DUE TO COVID-19
SCT will inform and support the group with all the necessary information for the procedures to be implemented according to the pandemic situation at the time of travel. Each participant must complete and sign a WAIVER OF LIABILITY form.
BAGGAGE
Each tour participant is advised to bring one suitcase and one small carry-on bag (8”x14”x22”). The Airlines New Baggage Regulations are as follows:
* For passengers travelling in Economy-Class: 1 piece at 50lb (23kg) maximum dimensions of 45 in. (158 cm); the sum of the 3 dimensions must not exceed 62 in. (158 cm) for each bag.
* Carry on Items: 1 piece maximum weight 18lb (8kg), maximum dimensions 22x15x8 in (55x40x20 cm).
Please check with your specific airline to verify the size and weight allowances.
